The Joy of Creation is a Five Nights at Freddy's-inspired fangame franchise that features the Ignited animatronics, Mike Schmidt, and Scott Cawthon himself. It is one of the most popular Five Nights at Freddy's fangame series and has earned the personal blessing of Scott Cawthon, being adapted into the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. It is usually considered scarier than the original Five Nights at Freddy's games, which is part of its massive appeal.

As part of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, a collection of remakes is in development, featuring remakes of The Joy of Creation: Reborn and The Joy of Creation: Story Mode. Classic was also planned to be included, but ended up being cut.

Trivia[]

  • The name for the franchise, "The Joy of Creation," was inspired by Phone Guy's Night 5 call, which, when undistorted, says: "You are right. Countless uses will be made by future gener- Seldom knows contemporaneous- the joy of crea-."
  • The Fanverse version of the game was originally named "The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection." The name was changed to simply "The Joy of Creation" as Nikson never resonated with the "Ignited Collection" name, and because fans believed it to be just a remaster or update to the originals.[4]
  • In the original version of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, Scott Cawthon and his family were included as the protagonists. This differs from the Fanverse version, as it was stated by Nikson that Scott is no longer a character.[5]
