If you are looking for the ghostly appearance the kids take on, look Here. Looking for the character who shares a common name with the ghost appearance? Look Here. If you're looking for 1987 MCI, look Here. If you're looking for the first victim of William Afton, predating the MCI, look Here. If you're looking for the character with a similar name to Cassidy, look Here. For their counterparts in FNAF: The Movie, look Here.

The 5 Missing Children, often referred to as the MCI Victims, are the children that William Afton murdered during the Missing Children's Incident and the centerpiece of the entire story of Five Nights at Freddy's. Their names are Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Cassidy.

At Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, William Afton dressed up as the Yellow Rabbit to gain children's trust and invited them to follow him to the safe room. Inside, he murdered them and stuffed the bodies into the restaurant's animatronics. The children's spirits would go on to possess the animatronic crew of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Foxy, Chica, and Golden Freddy. Coming to life at night and seeking revenge, Freddy & his band roam the restaurant to hunt down its night guards, whom they assume is their murderer.

MCI Victims[]

General Information[]

Gabriel, Susie, Jeremy, Fritz and Cassidy, known as the 5 Missing Children, are all murder victims of William Afton— a serial killer frequently referred to as the Purple Guy. On the evening of June 26, 1985, the five children in question were supposedly attending Gabriel's birthday party at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. One by one, they were then befriended & lured away into the restaurant's safe room by the Purple Guy (dressed up as the Yellow Rabbit to earn their trust). The man then proceeded to murder them. Afterwards, he stuffed the victims' bodies into Freddy's animatronic mascots to hide the evidence. Gabriel, the birthday boy, was stuffed into Freddy Fazbear himself. Jeremy was stuffed into Bonnie, Susie was stuffed into Chica, Fritz was stuffed into Foxy, and Cassidy was stuffed into an old yellow Freddy suit, believed to have belonged to Fredbear.

The rare Easter-egg newspaper clippings in Five Nights at Freddy's 1 describe the incident as such:

"Kids vanish at local pizzeria— bodies not found.

Two local children were reportedly lured into a back room during the late hours of operation at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the night of June 26th. While video survelience identified the man responsible and led to his capture the following morning, the children themselves were never found and are presumed dead, Police think the suspect dressed up as a company mascot to earn the children's trust."

"Five children now reported missing. Suspect convicted.

Five children are now linked to the incident at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where a man dressed as a cartoon mascot lured them into a back room. While the suspect has been charged, the bodies themselves were never found. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has been fighting an uphill battle ever since to convince families to return to the pizzeria, "It's a tragedy."

The Marionette, possessed by Purple Guy's first victim Charlotte Emily (who is stated to have been killed before the Missing Children), sought to protect the Children and give them a second chance at life, so as to have vengeance on their common killer.

in the "Give Gifts Give Life" minigame in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the Puppet is seen giving life to the animatronics by "giving gifts" to the dead children. As a result of this, the children's restless souls would become attached to the core animatronic crew of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Foxy, Chica, and Golden Freddy. Coming to life at night and seeking revenge, Freddy and his band roam the restaurant to hunt down its night guards, whom the tortured Missing Children assume is the man that murdered them. They are, however, friendly towards children, as shown in the movie and the SAVETHEM minigame in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, where Withered Freddy seeks to save any potential new victims of the Purple Guy.

Throughout the series, both in the novels and the movie, but not the games, the Missing Children are shown to always be strongly influenced by drawings, being frequently manipulated and fooled by William, who would use drawings (depicting his Yellow Rabbit persona as the Children's friend and protector) to alter their memories.

"They don't remember... The dead do forget"

— (Dave Miller, William's fake identity)

Years after the events of FNaF 1, as shown in the Follow Me minigames, Afton would return to the abandoned, delapidated Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and destroy all the animatronics by luring them to the safe room one by one, just like when he had murdered them many years before. His true intentions for doing so are unknown as the initial explanation was because of paranoia, but a theorized reason that he would take their dismantled endoskeletons out of the costumes is to melt them down to fuse the haunted metal with the Funtime animatronics, in an effort to give them a sort of life.

However, either during the same night or returning, the Purple Guy would find himself cornered by the ghosts of the Five Children, no longer bound by their animatronic programming restrictions. He would then be chased by (presumably) the ghost of Cassidy around the room, with Gabriel & the other three ghosts blocking the exit. To avoid the Children's wrath, William promptly put on his iconic Spring-Bonnie springlock suit. His exact reasoning for escaping and trying to hide from the Children in such a strange way is unconfirmed. Afton may have intended to trick the spirits, as the novels and the movie reveal he had manipulated his victims' memories into seeing the Yellow Rabbit as their friend, but another possibility is that he tried to frighten them, as the springlock suit was the same one he wore during their deaths.

When this seemed to work, as the ghosts of the Missing Children stopped pursuing him, Purple Guy began to laugh mockingly and victoriusly. His erratic movements and the leaky roof constantly dropping water droplets on him caused the springlocks in the suit to break lose, snapping into Afton's body from every direction, piercing his organs and crushing his bones. But, unbeknownst to the Missing Children, Afton would come back, a bloody undead abomination that housed his spirit in the Spring Bonnie suit, now known as Springtrap. He fully came to terms with his agonizing fate after the fire at Fazbear's Fright (as indicated by his voice lines in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator). Through this event, the Missing Children finally got their revenge on the murderer by making him suffer a fate similar to what he had put the Children through, and disappeared, satisfied. Later, at some point following the events of the Follow Me minigames, either at the end of FNaF 3 or Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, the Missing Children were set free from the animatronics and finally allowed to rest in peace, due to Charlotte Emily giving them their Happiest Day.

However, despite being freed alongside the others, one of the spirits (presumably Cassidy) refused to move on and stayed behind due to their immense hatred for the Purple Guy. In spite of Old Man Consequences' attempts to convince the Vengeful Spirit to "leave the demon to his demons" and rest their own soul, they chose to keep and torture their killer in his own personal hell in the form of Ultimate Custom Night, an endless purgatory implied to take place inside of William's mind. In the Fazbear Frights books, the role of torturing Purple Guy is given to Andrew, who may be a book stand-in for Cassidy or an entirely separate character. It is currently unknown whether or not Andrew is canon to the games' continuity, and if so, whether he is the Vengeful Spirit instead of Cassidy.

The Molten Freddy Theory[]

A recently accepted theory is that, after the events of the fourth Follow Me minigame in FNaF 3, the dismantled endoskeletons of the Classic animatronics were taken by Afton and melted down into haunted metal to breathe life into the Funtime animatronics, who would all later end up as Molten Freddy, positing that the Children remained central to the narrative until the very end of the Clickteam era of FNaF in UCN.

The Evidence[]

This theory is known as MoltenMCI, and is strongly supported in both the Completion Ending and the Insanity Ending of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, as well as Help Wanted 2.

  • In the Completion Ending, Henry claims that until the fire, the 5 Missing Children were still restless alongside Charlie, saying "It's time to rest, for you, and for those you've carried in your arms" as the image of the Puppet surrounded by the Missing Children is on screen.
    • In the same speech, right as a render of the burning Molten Freddy is on screen, Henry says "for most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps more, waiting for you after the smoke clears". This doesn't necessarily confirm the Missing Children specifically possessing Molten Freddy, but it can imply that the animatronic is "alive".
    • In the same speech, Henry says "and to you monsters trapped in these corridors: be still, and give up your spirits. They don't belong to you". Here, he is speaking to all of the animatronics that are known to be alive. In line with the theory, the only sentient "monsters" to whom their spirit does not belong are Baby and Lefty, yet Henry's wording of "spirits" implies multiple entities inhabiting something. Since neither Afton, Lefty/Puppet, or ScrapBaby fit said description, that leaves Molten Freddy, who fits the description well.
  • The Insanity Ending is often claimed to be another direct confirmation, as Henry talks about the events of the Follow Me minigames, and states that "small souls trapped in prisons of my making, now set to a new purpose, and used in ways I never thought imaginable". This fully clarifies that Henry is the creator of the Classics and implies that the children have possibly undergone a change and were then used by somebody in unimaginable ways, which lines up with Afton's murderous usage of the Funtimes . Finally, Henry concludes with "I never understood how those tiny breaths of life came to inhabit those machines, but now they'll never find rest, not like this. I must call them all back, together in one place", implying that freeing the Missing Children is an essential part of Paragraph 4, and without their spirits freed, the plan can be considered failed.
    • Prior to this, Henry's blueprints also refer to Molten Freddy as a "top priority" due to it having "the largest amount of remnant within its collective structure", the blueprint referring to him as such. This does not confirm Molten Freddy is directly haunted, as containing remnant does not directly mean possession, but it does reinforce the idea that it is "alive" in a sense, yet it begs the question of where the Remnant within him originated from.
      • The Remnant can be traced to the Scooper in Sister Location, but its origin is a complete mystery.
    • Henry never created the Funtimes, but him doing so is often mistakenly stated as fact in some interpretations of his Insanity speech.
  • In the same game, the Candy Cadet tells three secret stories, all of which are about five things becoming one. Two stories feature five infants or kittens being sheltered by a protective figure (believed to represent the Puppet, Henry, or Michael Afton) until getting killed by a robber or snake (believed to represent the Purple Guy). The third story features each of the five children being doomed by someone attempting and failing to save them all at once. At the end of every story, the bodies of the kittens or children, or the keys to save them, are either stitched or melted together into one.
    • One of the stories ends mysteriously with "later that night, there was a knock on the door" after the 5 children were stitched together, loosely connected to one of Molten Freddy's voicelines in the same game: "knock-knock, I'm here!"
    • The recurring theme of five becoming one unfortunately doesn't neatly line up with anything within the games. The closest combination is the Funtimes (five if BonBon or Michael is included.) However, the number of figures that make up Molten Freddy is explicitly clear to be three, as Circus Baby was ejected and Michael was abandoned.
  • In the Help Wanted level Vent Repair containing Ennard (not Molten Freddy), which takes place in Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals, the final floor contains Afton's furnace, inside of which there are four Endo-01 endoskeletons fused together. This is the most likely scenario in which Afton fused the Endo-O1 endoskeletons of the Classic animatronics in the Fourth Closet.
  • This theory is one logical explanation for Molten Freddy's bizarre name, as outside of MoltenMCI, neither Ennard nor Molten Freddy have ever canonically been melted.
    • However, Molten Freddy's appearance can be described as a melted form of Funtime Freddy in the metaphorical sense, rather than a literal one, likely lending to his name.
  • In the events of The Fourth Closet, MoltenMCI directly happens through the Amalgamation, which is central to the novel's narrative.
    • The Amalgamation and the Missing Children are implied to be linked to Molten Freddy's origin in the Ultimate Guide (its reliability is debatable, however).
  • Golden Freddy never appears in FFPS to claim Afton's soul, but if Cassidy was in Molten Freddy, this may solve that plot-hole.

Counter-arguments[]

Despite the various evidence, many consider MoltenMCI a theory rather than accepted canon, as several problems and inconsistencies can be found within it.

  • When Afton gets springlocked, the ghosts of the Five Children are in the room with him, rather than in the Funtimes.
    • An often provided explanation for this is that Remnant is a paranormal substance extracted from souls, rather then the souls themselves.
      • This is cited as explained by the Fourth Closet via the concept of soul splitting, which states that the spirits in FNaF are capable of being shattered, and as a result, existing as "pieces" in multiple places at once.
        • A similar scenario occurs in the Fazbear's Frights story "Coming home", where during daytime, the spirit of Susie splits and exists in both Chica at Freddy's and as a ghost in her childhood home.
        • Although true in multiple novels, this concept is not confirmed to apply to the games.
    • The presence of Remnant in Molten Freddy can be traced back to the Scooping room, where the Scooper injects Remnant as it scoops. If Afton dismantled the Classics in one night, the Remnant cannot be from the Classics, as that would imply Afton returned safely from the abandoned location. Which he didn't, as he got springlocked and was trapped for 30 years. Further more, every FollowMe minigame features rain and lightning, questioning the notion that it happened over several nights.
  • The Funtime animatronics lack most of the characteristics that the original animatronics possess. Most notably, they all appear to be more aware, which contradicts what the Puppet says about the Missing Children being more like animals in Ultimate Custom Night. (However, the Puppet may be referring to all the animatronics in comparison to her, not necessarily the Missing Children. Afton also seems to view most of the Funtimes as animals in The Fourth Closet).
    • Funtime Freddy does not appear to be possessed on Night 3 of Sister Location, due to him being deactivated by a lack of power, contradicting earlier games showing that possessed animatronics aren't restricted by power and can only be deactivated (such as the Withereds, who are then reactivated anyway). If not a plothole, this would restrict any souls in Molten Freddy to being from Funtime Foxy or Ballora.
    • Molten Freddy in particular is capable of articulation, unlike the Classics, who, despite them being able to speak or sing, instead groan, hum, or play music but otherwise stay silent. This can be explained as the Funtimes themselves speaking within Molten Freddy, not the children.
    • The Puppet, or Lefty, never speaks about, or acknowledges Molten Freddy as someone they recognise. If MoltenMCI is true, Lefty should've been able to tell that the MC were still alive.
  • The Character Encyclopedia states that the Missing Children were set free prior to the events of the sixth game. This isn't considered a reliable confirmation, however, as the encyclopedia is known to contain various errors. However, the placement of the Happiest Day minigame in FNAF 3, and both endings of that game, confirm this.
    • If the Bad Ending is true, then the MC can't be in the Funtimes, as Afton would be dead and unable to properly apply the Remnant. It should be noted that the fire in FNAF 3 was able to disable Remnant. If the Good Ending is true, then the MC still can't be in the Funtimes, as the spirits would have already moved on. Neither ending gives credence to MoltenMCI.
  • Another contradiction is from Fazbear Frights: You're The Band. In the story, the souls of Gabriel and the other Missing Children are shown to still possess the classic Freddy's animatronics 30 years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza shut down. However, it's unlikely that this story is canon to the games' continuity, as it originates from the collection of scrapped Fazbear's Frights stories.
  • In Help Wanted, Ennard's Vent Repair level is not the only appearance of an Endo 01 in Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals. In Lolbit's Dark Rooms level, Endo 01 has a rare chance to spawn as a threat, alongside the various Funtimes. Colliding with this Endo 01 reveals the identity of the endoskeleton; The original Bonnie, in a retextured form known as Beacon Bonnie.
    • The fact that Bonnie is damaged means it's after William Afton got springlocked, as Bonnie's suit was intact during the Follow Me minigames. The damage is entirely external, leaving no parts that could have been melted down, and no opportunity for Afton to do so.
    • Of course, the canonicity of the highly obscure and unexplained Beacon Bonnie is unlikely, especially since his textures do not resemble that of other damaged animatronics in the slightest (not to mention the fact that he's a solid animatronic, whereas Bonnie's suit in FollowMe ends up broken into parts)
  • Henry's statement of it being "time [for the Puppet] to rest, for [her], and for those you have carried in your arms" can alternatively mean "for [her sake], and for [the sake of] those you carried in your arms."
    • "Small souls trapped in prisons of my making, now set to new purpose and used in ways I never thought imaginable" can be interpreted to be referring to the Classic Animatronics imprisoning the MCI victims and how they would be used by them to become active and murderous at night.
      • However, during the rest of the speech Henry repeatedly talks about the Purple Guy and what he'd done to the Children, as well as the way "he had overpowered them again, and robbed them of the only thing they had, again". During their possession of the Classic Animatronics, the Missing Children were never used by the Purple Guy, let alone in "unimaginable ways", whereas the Funtimes fit such a description perfectly. This is especially implied to be true given that had Henry not been referring to the Funtimes, his entire speech would not make sense, as he laments the Missing Children's imprisonment, even though without MoltenMCI, they would've already been at rest.
        • Henry's statement: "prisons of my making...used in ways I never thought imaginable", is referring to the Classics, as he didn't have a hand in creating the Funtimes.
        • The reference to them is ambiguous as the Funtime Animatronics are designed to kill children and hide their bodies, leaving open the possibilty that a separate group of children are what inhabit Molten Freddy. Afton's luring may be inferring the opening of Circus Baby's, when only children were sent into the building, although the "luring" told by Henry could just reference the FollowMe minigames.
    • Henry's conclusion: "I never understood how those tiny breaths of life came to inhabit those machines, but now they'll never find rest, not like this. I must call them all back, together in one place" may instead be an indication that more children other than Elizabeth were possibly killed during the opening of Circus Baby's, or referring to Scraptrap, ScrapBaby, and Lefty collectively with Molten Freddy.
      • Neither seem likely, however, as his words prior refer to the Missing Children. If Molten Freddy doesn't have the Missing Children's remnant, there would be only two spirits Henry would desire to free, that being Charlie (Lefty/Puppet) and Elizabeth (Baby), making his wording of "them all" strange.
        • Remnant isn't able to carry souls over to new "vessels", making Molten Freddy's possession of the MC's Remnant odd.
  • In the context of the FollowMe Minigames, if the Missing Children were to become the Funtimes, it would be four becoming four instead, as Golden Freddy is never seen to be dismantled in said minigames alongside the main four animatronics, meaning it's uncertain if the Purple Guy ever dismantled the ghostly Golden Freddy in the first place.
    • This is cited as explained by the Fourth Closet, where Afton never acquired Golden Freddy's endoskeleton either (because it's a suit), yet Golden Freddy's spirit still followed the other children into the Amalgamation, although the event happening in the games is unlikely.
  • The Fourth Closet is repeatedly cited as proof despite it being in the Novel Timeline, a completely separate continuity, and thus forbidden from being used to definitively prove anything within the games. It is uncertain if it's canon as Scott isn't forthcoming with definitive answers. The books are set in the same universe but in separate continuities, with some Novel Trilogy concepts, such as Henry, his partnership with William, and Purple Guy's motivation for murders, eventually being relevant to the games.

Debunked[]

  • It was stated that in Sister Location, the Funtime heads in the Scooper Ending lined up with the heads in FNAF 3. However, they are in the wrong order. Bonnie and Foxy are swapped.
    • Good Ending: Freddy, Foxy, Chica, Bonnie.
    • Scooper Ending: Freddy, "Bonnie" as BonBon, Ballora (if as a stand in for Chica), Foxy.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, Charlotte Emily was believed to be a part of the group as well.
  • While not directly stated, the identities of the four named in the Lorekeeper Ending are confirmed through looking back at the third game.
    • Each name lines up with the head of their respective animatronic in the two endings.
    • In addition: The distance from the camera appears to line up with the order the children died in. The farthest grave, way in the back, is believed to be Charlie, with Susie the next one.
      • If this was to be true, the exact order of deaths in the 5 Missing Children Incident is: Susie, Fritz, Gabriel, Jeremy, and Cassidy.
  • Security Breach features a wall of number balloons with a purple two, a red four, and a yellow five. Some fans believe this is trying to tell us that Fritz was the fourth victim instead of the second, and Jeremy was the second instead of the fourth.
  • In Security Breach, four S.T.A.F.F. Bots can be found standing in a square formation around a broken fifth S.T.A.F.F. Bot, referencing the Five Children in the Give Gifts Give Life minigame from FNaF 2.
  • In the Brazil Ending of the Security Breach Ruin DLC, five balloons can be seen soaring into the sky in the background, known to always represent the Five Missing Children. This is most likely just a reference made to confirm that the hill from Security Breach's endings is the same hill that the gravestones of the Missing Children and Charlie rest upon in FFPS.

Gabriel is one of the victims of William Afton, and the soul within Freddy Fazbear.

Appearance[]

Although nothing is shown for the games, artwork has been shown for the book appearance.

Book trilogy[]

In the Graphic novel, Gabriel is shown with darker skin, a yellow, long sleeve shirt with an orange collar, and bushy brown hair. He is taller than Susie, Fritz and Cassidy and the same height as Michael Brooks.

Purple Guy's strategy[]

In Help Wanted's Pizza Party level, a VR recreation of Gabriel's murder, Glitchtrap is believed to represent William while the player represents Gabriel. In this scenario, William dresses up as the Yellow Rabbit, then approaches and greets Gabriel while the latter is celebrating his birthday, presumably alone and sad (as all of the Missing Children are implied to have been upset by something prior to being befriended by the Purple Man). Gabriel is then invited to follow the Yellow Rabbit to a pizza party, while being tested for trust by the latter. Upon being lead into the safe room, Gabriel is greeted by birthday cake and pizza, as well as (presumably) the already dead Suzie and Jeremy, fully stuffed into Chica and Bonnie. The Yellow Rabbit then waves at the boy energetically and invites him to follow him one step further, into the dark. Afterwards, the level skips to Gabriel already murdered and stuffed in Freddy, his spirit trapped and forced to helplessly watch as Freddy is performing his song, and the Purple Guy, still dressed as the Yellow Rabbit, is dancing gleefully and mockingly among the crowd.

Book Trilogy[]

Silver Eyes method[]

William Afton, within what is implied to be the Spring Bonnie suit, had approached the five children - Susie, Fritz, Gabriel, Cassidy, and Michael - and had lured them into a back room. Back there, he had slaughtered all five, before stuffing them into the mascot suits.

Personality[]

Fazbear Frights[]

Gabriel is an intelligent and polite, docile boy. He is, however, quite an eccentric and can get annoyed rather easily depending on which topic is brought up. He tends to speak in a slow, monotone voice, especially when describing The Missing Children's Incident.

Trivia[]

  • Gabriel seems to be the child given cake in BB's Air Adventure, as the kid in the Freddy Mask appears in Happiest Day first, implying that Freddy Fazbear was the first animatronic whose spirit was ready to move on.
  • Due to not being named in the original books, Gabriel was among the few to make his book series debut in the graphic novels.
  • Though unconfirmed, it is thought that Gabriel's death is represented through the Pizza Party minigame.
  • A girl with a similar name, Gabrielle, was seen in Into the Pit.
    • It should be noted that another girl, Gabriella, appeared within The New Kid.
  • It should be noted that, within the Charlie trilogy, Gabriel is the only one to not be mentioned by name.
  • Within the Lorekeeper ending for Pizzeria Simulator, him and Jeremy share the same font on their gravestones.
  • In the group art for the books, Gabriel appears to be in the darkest corner of the drawing, changing the colors slightly.
    • Based on how Cassidy appears, the lighting appears to be more of a dark pink, slightly offsetting the colors
  • Based on where he's located in the Lorekeeper ending, he appears to be the third to die from the MCI.
    • This would make him Purple Guy's fourth victim overall.
  • Gabriel loves spaghetti wheels and strawberry ice-cream (separately).
  • Gabriel hates salads.
  • Gabriel likes showers, but hates baths.

Jeremy is one of the Purple Guy's victims, and the boy who possesses the original Bonnie.

Appearance[]

Currently, he has no confirmed design in the games.

Purple Guy's strategy[]

Games[]

Purple Guy dressed up as Spring-Bonnie and lured Jeremy into a backroom, before murdering him and hiding the body by stuffing it into a Freddy's animatronic, specifically Bonnie.

Trivia[]

  • Jeremy is the only one of the original MCI victims to be absent from the Book trilogy.
    • Due to this, Jeremy ended up as the only one without any official design upon the release of the Fourth Closet's graphic novel.
  • He is one of the two souls to share a name with another character, the other being Fritz.
    • However, he is the only soul to share a name with Two other characters.
      • Said characters are Jeremy Fitzgerald, alongside sharing a name with the Jeremy from Help Wanted.
        • It is likely that him sharing a name with Fitzgerald is a coincidence.
        • It should be noted that both Jeremy (MCI) and Jeremy (Help Wanted) lost their face at some point in time due to William's actions, likely a coincidence in universe and an intentional call-back by the game developers.
  • Due to the lack of appearances, it is possible that he is Scott's least favorite of the Purple Man's victims.
    • This is, however, just speculation, as no official word has been given.
    • If true, this could be attributed to the fact that Bonnie is considered to be the scariest animatronic by Scott.

Susie is the soul within Chica and Funtime Foxy (Books), as well as one of the victims of William.

Appearance[]

Games & Book Trilogy[]

Within the Games and Books, Susie is shown as a young girl with blonde hair, alongside bright blue eyes. In her hair is a red bow, while she appears wearing a purpleish-magenta dress, with a white band separating the top and bottom halves and short sleeves. Her shirt has a white collar, complete with a white bowtie on the front. She also has black shoes with white socks. Based on her artwork in Pizzeria Simulator, her nose and mouth appear smaller than average, although this detail is not seen in the Fourth Closet.

Fazbear Frights[]

Although her appearance is not mentioned in full detail, she is described to have light brown hair that flowed around her face, alongside brown eyes that were wide open. She had scar at the top of her forehead hidden under her hair and pierced ears with "pretty-colored" earrings. She is also described as having a smaller mouth and nose, similar to in the games and was called cute. She wore a magenta sweater with pink stripes and jeans with rhinestones during her death.

In the unused story artwork, she was given yet another different design. In this artwork, she was shown with blonde hair like the games, but features her with long braids, and a light blue shirt with darker blue pants. She is also shown wearing red shoes.

Purple Guys strategy[]

Games[]

The Purple Man is heavily implied to have murdered Susie's dog by driving over it with his car, and used the puppy's promised revival as bait to lure Suzie into a backroom, telling her that "he's not dead, he is over there, follow me". Once he had led her to the backroom, he did the same to her as he did to all the others, murdering her and stuffing the body into a Freddy's animatronic, specifically Chica.

Book Trilogy[]

Although the way William lured her back is known in both The Silver Eyes and The Fourth Closet, Due to Continuity errors it is unclear exactly which one is canon.

Silver Eyes method[]

William, within what is implied to be the Golden Freddy suit, had approached the five children - Susie, Fritz, Gabriel, Cassidy, and Michael - and had lured them into the back. Back there, he had slaughtered all five, before stuffing them into the suits.

Fourth Closet method[]

Within the Fourth Closet, Susie got a unique lure method. Rather than what was previously established, Susie had been lured back by Spring Bonnie under the promise that he knew where Susie's puppy was. However, rather than bringing her to her puppy, he had murdered her, and stuffed her into the Chica suit.

Fazbear Frights[]

Currently, this is unknown.

Personality[]

Games[]

Although her personality isn't disclosed, it's implied that she's rather curious, joyful and innocent, but easily saddened, due to her puppy's recent passing.

Book Trilogy[]

Currently, nothing is known to be different about her personality. She is shown to have great faith in the Yellow Rabbit, firmly believing that he is the Missing Children's friend and protector. She is so confident in this that, when suggested otherwise, she initially becomes angry and dismissive.

Fazbear Frights[]

Susie is depicted as innocent, caring, artsy and carefree, alongside mischievous.

Through dialogue, she had been shown to have cared for a tree in her yard, which she named Oliver, to where she had given him a scarf to wear during the winter. Later, she is shown to not even realize that she died, instead staying with her family during the day.

Her mischievous side, however, is revealed as well, where she had hidden a doll from her sister not long before her death.

Trivia[]

  • Though unconfirmed, she is theorized to be Scott's favorite of the MCI victims.
    • This is due to her being the first one to get a full design, alongside having a full on Fazbear Frights story
      • She also has the most designs of the MCI kids, with four separate canon designs appearing in official media.
    • Further supporting this is her added detail, being the only MCI victim confirmed to have a pet and/or sibling.
  • Susie is the only one of the Missing Children to have official artwork in any of the games, being seen in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator
    • She is also the only victim who's method of being lured is directly shown.
      • In addition to how it was shown, a direct parallel to her is seen in Ultimate Custom Night, where Toy Chica lures Twisted Wolf to her house with his dog.
        • However, if these cutscenes were used as parallels to the missing children and Charlie, this would show Purple Guy's strategies for the rest as well.
  • Her and Fritz are the only missing children mentioned by name twice: in both the games and the book trilogy.
  • She is the only one of the MCI victims to have been seen in control of a Funtime, seen in The Fourth Closet.
  • It is directly confirmed through Ultimate Custom Night that she was the first of the MCI victims.
    • However, it should be noted that while not part of the incident, Charlotte Emily was killed before her.
  • Within Coming Home, it is mentioned that she was often called cute.
  • Though not confirmed to be her, the sprite in Fruity Maze is believed to be based off of her appearance.
  • Susie hates pineapples.
  • Susie likes beans.

Fritz is one of the victims of the Missing Children's Incident, as well as the soul within Foxy.

Fritz's exact design is as-of-yet unrevealed. However, it is likely that it lines up with that of the book trilogy.

Book trilogy[]

Fritz is a pale young boy, with short, dirty blonde hair. He is shown wearing a red and white striped shirt, with dark tan shorts. His shoes are the same color as his shorts, while he also has white socks. He is the smallest boy in the group, but is taller than both Cassidy and Susie. While the original books states that Fritz has freckles, the Fourth Closet's graphic novel design lacks this detail.

Purple Guy's strategy[]

Games[]

Fritz was approached by the Purple Guy wearing the Yellow Rabbit suit, and lured away into the backroom of Freddy's, where the Purple Guy murdered the little boy and hid the body by stuffing it into a Freddy's animatronic, specifically Foxy the Pirate.

Book trilogy[]

Nothing specific is currently known about Purple Guy's strategy, outside of the shared method in The Silver Eyes

Trivia[]

  • He is one of two souls to share a name with another character, the other being Jeremy.
  • An interesting thing to note is that his design resembles quite a few of the fan-made designs from before the reveal.
    • His striped red shirt was one of the more frequent design details to be used in said fan designs.
  • In the Fourth Closet, Fritz was mentioned to have freckles, making him the only one to have this detail.
    • For an unknown reason, this was excluded from the graphic novel, however.
  • Despite existing in the book trilogy, the Ultimate Guide's artwork excluded him in favor of Carlton.
    • This left him as the only missing child to have his design revealed after the book released
  • While it's not confirmed, the parallel luring from Toy Chica: The High School Years indicates he was lured with something involving danger or fire.

Cassidy is the name of the soul within Golden Freddy, and the most vengeful of William Afton's victims. However, in the Novel Trilogy, she possesses Bonnie instead.

Appearance[]

In Ultimate Custom Night, the Vengeful Spirit that is believed to be Cassidy manifests themselves as an eerily smiling child hidden in the shadows.

Book trilogy[]

Although she was described with long black hair originally, Artwork in the graphic novels depicts Cassidy with chestnut hair tied up in a ponytail and shows her in a light blue short-sleeve shirt alongside dull blue pants. She's the same height as Susie. However, the graphic novel designs aren't confirmed to be canon.

History[]

Five Nights at Freddy's 3[]

Cassidy's soul is implied to the the the protagonist on the Night 5 Follow Me minigame. The ghost child makes their way to the Safe Room where the souls of the other MCI victims are blocking the exit from the terrified Purple Guy. They chase him around the room, until the man tries to protect himself by putting on the Yellow Rabbit springlock suit. The ghosts stop their pursuit and simply watch as William Afton laughs victoriusly and subsequently gets killed by the triggered springlocks. The ghosts then fade away, leaving their killer sitting in a pool of his own blood. Golden Freddy appears in Happiest Day. Here, the child possessing him is standing behind a table. They are given cake by the Puppet, and, after the Golden Freddy mask appears on the child's face, they vanish, leaving the mask behind. However, this child is likely to be the Crying Child rather then Cassidy, due to the layout and birthday theme of the Happiest Day's limbo pizzeria being the same as that of Fredbear's Family Diner on the birthday and death of the Crying Child.

Ultimate Custom Night[]

The One You Should Not Have Killed is the name given to the victim of Afton who created Ultimate Custom Night to be his own personal hell. They can be occasionally be seen smiling maliciously from different hidden spots, and are also the soul speaking through Happy Frog, Nedd Bear, and Orville Elephant while taunting him about how he will suffer forever.

Purple Guy's strategy[]

The method the Purple Guy used to trick and then kill Cassidy is similar in both universes. Wearing the Spring Bonnie suit, William lured five children - Gabriel, Susie, Fritz, Cassidy, and either Jeremy or Michael depending on the continuity - into one of the back rooms of Freddy's, and murdered each one. The corpses were all stuffed inside of the animatronic suits present in the location, with Cassidy possessing Golden Freddy in the games or Bonnie in the book trilogy.

Trivia[]

  • They are the only MCI victim to possess a different animatronic between the Games and Books.
    • This is because, prior to being established as Golden Freddy, the Silver Eyes had already stated that Michael Brooks was in Golden Freddy instead.
  • Despite their name being confirmed in both stories, they is never directly mentioned in the Games.
    • Instead, their name was uncovered through a puzzle within the Survival Logbook.
  • It's thought that they know the Crying Child, due to the things they know about him in the Survival Logbook.
    • However, it should be noted that they never actually speak with him in any shown material, nor do they ever talk about him.
      • Many believe that it's shown in the Survival Logbook, through faded and altered text, however there's no true confirmation about whether there's a second spirit in the first place, let alone it being the Crying Child.
  • Although not being seen directly, what appears to be their hair was seen within The New Kid, inside of Golden Freddy's suit
  • It should be noted that the role of "William's Tormentor" has been given to Andrew within the Fazbear Frights storyline.
  • Cassidy is the only one of the missing children in the games confirmed to have killed someone directly.
    • This is through the Night Four phone call on the first game, where Golden Freddy's scream is heard attacking Phone Guy
  • The One you should not have killed is referred to as male by Withered Chica and Mangle, which has lead some to believe that the One isn't Cassidy but Andrew, and some others to believe Cassidy is a boy.
  • Despite Cassidy being theorised to be a girl, The image of the One from Ultimate Custom Night is actually a boy's face.
    • Scott himself has previously stated that the image was edited from a picture of his son, Jason.
      • According to Scott in the same message, this is because it was readily available for use, and that it - Alongside other real-world images - has no true lore relevance.
  • While the exact way they were lured is mostly believed to involve Spring Bonnie, the parallel luring in Toy Chica: The High School Years would indicate they were outright kidnapped to kill.
  • A common theory is that Cassidy is the princess seen in the Princess Quest minigames, however this has not been confirmed
    • The main points used to support this are the general golden palette given to the princess, and the name in the files being Cassidy when Security Breach released
  • Cassidy was previously planned to be the focus of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, with the screenplay being known as "The Cassidy screenplay".
    • Notably, this screenplay also confirms their name as being Cassidy, since it's stated to follow multiple of the games.
    • According to Scott, this screenplay was cut due to being too saturated with story, indicating that Cassidy's story is more in-depth than the games imply.
  • There was previously an official kazoo named the "Golden Cassidy Kazoo"
    • This was later renamed, after Scott clarified the situation, stating that the kazoo was actually rejected, but released anyway.
    • Youtooz's "Haunted Golden Freddy" statue later mentioned Cassidy in the statue's 'colorway' field. The other missing children were listed in the respective animatronics' colorways as well.

Michael Brooks, or Mike, is one of William Afton's victims that is exclusive to The Novel Trilogy. He is the counterpart to Michael Afton, as well as the soul within Golden Freddy in the novels.

Appearance[]

Michael is a young boy, roughly 6 or 7 years old. He has brown hair, which spikes out on the edges. His shirt is a light blue color, with a V-shaped collar, complete with short sleeves. His ears stick out like a monkey's.

William's Strategy[]

Like with the other victims of the Book MCI, the method had actually changed. However, the method in the Fourth Closet is not revealed.

Silver Eyes Method[]

William, within what is implied to be the Golden Freddy suit, had approached the five children - Susie, Fritz, Cassidy, Gabriel, and Michael - and had lured them into the back. Back there, he slaughtered all five, before stuffing them into the suits.

History[]

Childhood[]

Prior to his death, Michael Brooks was one of the friends of Charlotte Emily as well as most of the other protagonists. Carlton Burke was his closest friend over the years. He had been separated from his friends, and ended up following William Afton into a back room of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, at the time believing him to be Spring Bonnie. In the back room, Michael had been murdered, and promptly stuffed inside of Golden Freddy.

Ten Years Later[]

Main articles: The Silver Eyes, Kidnapping of Carlton Burke

Ten years after his death, Charlotte and her friends were gathered together for an event made in Michael's memory. At this event, an unidentified school prinicipal, Michael's parents, and Carlton all gave remarks on Michael and shared their memories of him. Afterwards, Charlotte, Carlton, John, Marla, Jessica, Lamar, and Jason went back to Freddy's a few times. During one of these returns to Freddy's, William kidnaps Carlton and locks him an unidentified blue springlock suit. While trapped in the suit, Golden Freddy appears to Carlton in the same room and reveals the truth that he, Golden Freddy, is indeed Michael Brooks. Afterwards, Charlotte saves Carlton from the suit and knocks Dave Miller, who turns out to be William under an alias, unconcious. Carlton reveals that Michael possesses the Golden Freddy suit to Charlotte, who appears to recognize the yellow bear as Fredbear. Not long afterwards, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, who are all also possessed by the spirits of the missing children, corner and surround Charlotte and her friends, about to kill them. Suddenly, Michael Brooks appears through the Golden Freddy suit and orders the animatronics to stand down, letting Charlotte and her friends live.

Freeing the Spirit[]

Main article: Injection of Carlton Burke

After the Golden Freddy animatronic had been destroyed and melted into the Amalgamation, the remnant of Michael Brooks was injected into Carlton Burke by William Afton. After being injected, Carlton Burke saw Michael Brooks and the other missing children. Carlton Burke helped the spirit of Michael put photos of the other children back together, bringing their spirits together. Carlton then helped Michael and the others remember the truth and the spirits possessing the Amalgamation were able to revolt against their killer and kill him. The spirit of Michael Brooks was finally able to go free and move on.

Trivia[]

  • Michael Brooks' design has a strange similarity to Gregory in some aspects.
    • However, because several characters within the Graphic Novels were shown with the incorrect hair color, it's possible that the brown here was an error.
      • In addition, brown hair is one of the more common details in the series.

Andrew is one of William Afton's victims that is exclusive to the Fazbear Frights line of books. He serves as a major antagonist within the Fazbear Frights series, directly causing the events of Fetch, Plushtrap Chaser, 1:35AM, and Step Closer as well as the Stitchwraith rumors. He may be an alternate counterpart of Cassidy/Golden Freddy from the Five Nights at Freddy's game series, or an inexplicably separate character.

While not directly confirmed, it's also possible that he had influenced the events of Bunny Call.

Appearance[]

Ghost Child[]

Andrew is a young boy, with curled, black hair. On his face is a cheap Alligator Mask, which appears similar in style to the Freddy Mask, covering his eyes.

Shadow Wraith[]

In this form, The entirety of Andrew's body is pitch black. Although his body is dark, unable to be seen, The alligator mask remains visible. It is also implied that he has glowing white eyes and teeth.

Personality[]

Similar to the Vengeful Spirit of Ultimate Custom Night, Andrew is shown to be a being of pure rage, choosing to keep William alive for the sole purpose of tormenting him, while targeting his rage on anyone who attempts to stop him. This extends further, leading to him infecting many Animatronics, Toys, and Costumes with his rage.

Later in the stories, he ends up befriending Jake, who helps him to see through the fog of rage and open up. Although he doesn't show it, he ends up enjoying Jake's company, and overall acting nicer to him.

Andrew's infected objects[]

Confirmed infections[]

Fetch[]

Andrew directly possesses Fetch, his corruption serving to expand the dog's original purpose. Fetch was given the ability to read the mind of his connected owner, alongside expanding the Phone sync to all texts, rather than only the ones to Fetch.

In addition to this, Fetch gains the ability to collect even more objects for it's owner, albeit killing anything still alive. His corruption abilities were designed to kill anything and everything in his path.

Ella[]

Andrew's corruption granted Ella the ability to teleport, appearing wherever. She was also granted the ability to terrorize whoever owns the doll, haunting them at the time set on the clock with vivid hallucinations, alongside stalking them at times.

Her corruption was designed to make people go insane, combining hallucinations with the ability to physically teleport to make the doll's owner begin to question what's real or fake. In the epilouge of the 10th book, it is revealed that Eleanor was the one terrorizing Delilah and not Ella

The Plushtrap Chaser[]

Andrew's corruption expanded on the Plushtrap Chaser's original intention of being a Night Terrorizer. Along with the already existing mechanic of only moving in the dark, increasing it's stealth factor, the chaser was granted human-like teeth and eyes. Along with this, he was granted the ability to chew through any material, alongside granted higher speed.

His corruption was designed to turn him into an unstoppable stalker, moving only when it was least visible. In the epilogue of the 10th book, it is revealed that Eleanor was the one that created the Plushtrap Chaser.

Foxy[]

The corruption gave Foxy the largest upgrade, where he'd have the biggest effect. His song was granted a curse, which is applied to all who listen. The curse will cause the inflicted to have horrible luck, where various sharp objects such as Knives or Fishing Hooks will commonly be drawn towards the victim's eye and hand.

The curse stops at nothing to have it's victim feel the loss of their hand and eye, going to the point of signing them up as organ donors and manually killing them if they survive long enough. After death, it keeps them in their bodies, and forces them to watch as their hand and eye are surgically removed.

His corruption was designed with the crowd in mind, cursing many at once with his song.

Unconfirmed infections[]

Ralpho[]

If Andrew had gotten to Ralpho, the infections appear to include the appearance of ominous, purple eyes, along with blood spewing from the suit. When he goes to leave, he'll violently attack, attempting to get in through various methods such as the cabin windows. He will only leave once 6AM is reached.

His corruption was designed to trick unsuspecting camp members, before forcing his way in to kill.

History[]

Into the Pit[]

Andrew makes a brief mention in Into the Pit, gaining a passing mention when Oswald notices six bodies lined up.

The Man in Room 1280[]

Andrew appears fully, keeping his killer, William Afton, alive on his death bed. Throughout the story, he torments William, while also protecting him from various nurses attempting to put him out of his misery. The methods of doing this nearly caused some of them to die.

Later in the story, after William is brought to Fazbear Entertainment's Distribution Center, he causes black goop to burst out of William's body before walking through it, leaving footprints through it.

Between TMiR1280 and Fetch[]

Sometime between the stories, Andrew gets a hold of various Fazbear-related animatronics. The animatronics were corrupted, gaining unique abilities alongside a thirst for blood. The animatronics include Foxy, Ella and The Plushtrap Chaser.

In addition to this, Andrew directly possessed the animatronic Fetch, a smaller Dog animatronic designed to respond to the owner's Smartphones. The corruption abilities had enhanced the original purpose, giving Fetch the ability to read minds and look through other contacts.

Fetch[]

After Greg and his friends venture into an abandoned Freddy Fazbear's location, Greg activates the Fetch animatronic. Andrew, within the animatronic, connects himself to Greg's phone.

Later, the animatronic fulfills it's original purpose, fetching various items that Greg requests. These requests, however, are drawn from further than originally intended, and it will stop at nothing to fulfill it.

As the story goes on, Fetch fulfills the requests more and more brutally. He ends up killing the neighborhood dog, after Greg voices his distaste for it, and places the corpse next to Greg's bike.

After Greg accidentally wishes his crush, Kimberly, was with him, Fetch obeys the order, much to Greg's distaste. With Greg trying to warn her, Fetch fulfills the request, killing Kimberly and bringing her to Greg.

As Greg got out of the bathroom, the body of Kimberly was on the floor, hidden under a blanket.

Between Fetch and the Stitchwraith[]

Sometime after the events of Fetch, The animatronic got loose. A thunderstorm had rolled in, causing Fetch to deactivate. Phineas Taggart later found him, dragging him to his workshop for experimentation.

Stitchwraith epilogues 3 and 4 - The Creation of the Stitchwraith[]

Phineas had been working on experiments involving Emotions, with the theory of Agony being the strongest of them. After he received an endoskeleton, he had taken some parts from other animatronics - The battery of Fetch, alongside the mask of Simon - for giving life and personality to his creation. Upon activating the Animatronic, it malfunctioned, Fetch's battery glowing red as he zapped his creator. Phineas attempted to form a Mental Shield, as an attempt to block the agony flowing into him. The shield fails, with his body withering, and black goop comes from his eyes.

After leaving, the animatronic ended up inside a truck. The two souls within it, Andrew and Jake, awaken, with them quickly discovering that only Jake can see and control it. Andrew begins to talk about how angry he was, explaining the events of The Man in Room 1280. After that, he had ended up in a room containing several Animatronics, before infecting each of them with his rage. A man enters the truck, before seeing the Stitchwraith move. Jake, in control of the animatronic, goes to try and comfort him, before Andrew's rage sends a shock through him, causing the same fate as Phineas.

Jake, horrified, wonders why that happened, before Andrew explains, claiming his rage had caused it. The shock was intended to scare people, which causes Jake to get mad at Andrew, explaining how it was killing people. As Jake decides to collect Andrew's infected objects, he attempts to get Andrew's help, who refuses. Jake then connects himself to Andrew, using his thoughts to find them.

Stitchwraith epilogue 5 - Jake's collection[]

Jake has continued using Andrew's thoughts, growing tired as he constantly moves around. The Stitchwraith makes it's home within an abandoned factory, dragging Ella into the building.

After seeing Grimm, Jake begins watering some flowers. Andrew asks why he's watering them, but doesn't get a response, as Jake ends up in a memory. As Jake begins to leave the Stitchwraith, Andrew panics, yelling after him to get him to stop.

Jake, choosing to stay and help Andrew, continues to water the flowers, ignoring Andrew's question.

Stitchwraith Epilogue 6 - The Formation of the Miscreation[]

As Jake drags Foxy into the building, throwing him into the trash compactor, Detective Larson - The detective following the Stitchwraith's trail - makes himself known. Upon noticing this, Andrew attempts to force himself in control, trying to kill the detective as Jake holds him back.

As the two fight for control, Jake throws the Stitchwraith into the trash compactor after Foxy. Jake attempts to pull Andrew into the memory from before, trying to protect him, as the Stitchwraith - William Afton - reveals himself.

William grabs Andrew, attempting to pull him back. As Jake tried to hang on to his memory of a baseball game with his father Evan to pull the two up, but due to Afton's pull being too strong, and as such Jake sacrificed himself by shutting out positive emotions and pulling him back down, freeing Andrew who vanished in a glimmer of light seen by Larson as Afton and Jake went on to form the Miscreation.

William's Strategy[]

While not directly shown, based on Into the Pit, it can be put together that the Into the Pit suit for Spring Bonnie was used to lure him back. However, how exactly he was lured is unknown.
