Because every franchise needs a multiverse. This page contains content from the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. While this is an official Five Nights at Freddy's project, it takes place in a separate timeline, and is not canon to the main games. |
Popgoes Evergreen is a game inspired by the original Five Nights at Freddy's, featuring a cast of original characters. The Evergreen timeline is a reboot of the original Popgoes series from 2016. The Popgoes series is developed by Kane Carter and his team, and was officialized as part of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative.
Summary[]
GameJolt[]
POPGOES is an official, fan-developed Five Nights at Freddy's spinoff series that only takes the first three FNAF games into account, and POPGOES Evergreen is the newest entry, officially backed by Scott Cawthon as part of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative.
One year has passed after the fire at Fazbear's Fright. An inventor has single-handedly revived the animatronic restaurant genre with his own location called The Popgoes Pizzeria. Promising total safety with his advanced and well-behaved animatronics, the man truly believes he might own the greatest family restaurant ever.
However, Popgoes the Weasel and his animatronic gang are only well-behaved because that's how they were programmed. Popgoes sings and makes pizza, Blake helps kids with their WeaselWare phones, Stone gives directions outside the building... They all do exactly as they are told, as any robot should.
But, unfortunately for you, it looks like somebody has just told them to do something else...
Good luck!
Story - POPGOES Evergreen has a refined story that will be familiar to POPGOES fans, but with some interesting changes that should be surprising and satisfying. Throughout the years I have thought about how certain parts of the story could be improved, removed, or added to, and this reboot gives me the opportunity to present the best version of POPGOES possible.
Gameplay - The gameplay in POPGOES Evergreen will be overhauled drastically. The night gameplay will mostly stay the same, but the execution will be improved as much as possible. The game will feature seamless turning animations, simpler office interactions, and some brand new mechanics. We are also removing the "brain minigames" and replacing them with something brand new.
Replayability - We have spent a lot of time thinking about replayability for POPGOES Evergreen. We think it's important for extra content to exist for players who want to go the extra mile, and because of that we have designed a massive collectibles system, with around 100 things to unlock in total. If you're a completionist, expect a LOT of stuff to do, and even more if you buy the paid version of the game!
Design - Everything in this game will be designed, modelled, drawn... from scratch. That includes every character and every room. Some characters will change more than others, but we're trying our best to make everything a huge improvement. The original POPGOES is over 6 years old now!

Gameplay Mechanics[]
Main night[]
The main gameplay revolves around the WeaselWare Phone and its associated features. The phone acts as the Camera System of POPGOES, showing a map of the location, and is used to change between cameras and interact with the rooms.
On most of the main cameras, the main ability the phone has is to shut down the room it's connected to. Doing so will deactivate the camera for a few seconds, as well as anything in that room. This is used to shut down the 3D Printers, which prevents Popgoes from creating Blackrabbit, as well as to stun Saffron and stop her from jamming the door. The shut down mechanic has a cooldown to it.
In the Ventilation System, the shut down button is replaced with a Vent Heating button. This activates a heating grid in that vent, which prevents Sara from passing through it, stunning her while it's active. The heating grid is only active for a short period of time.
In addition, while the Server Room camera is active, a tray opens in front of the monitor, revealing a set of buttons. These buttons are used to input a code provided by Blake the Badger.
The other major mechanic is the Panic Meter. This meter is split into two parts, Temporary Panic and Permanent Panic. Temporary Panic, like in the original Popgoes, will slowly increase over time, and is reduced by looking out the window to the right of the monitor. If Temporary Panic reaches 100%, it begins to overflow into the Permanent Panic bar. Permanent Panic cannot be recovered, and once that meter reaches 100%, one of the animatronic jumpscares will occur.

Stickers[]
Stickers are consistently revealed every week on GameJolt, with exceptions, and can be obtained on GameJolt by placing Charged Stickers on Kane Carter's posts. This makes them currently the only collectibles available outside of Popgoes Evergreen itself. Only 50 stickers will be available ingame, although which ones remains currently unclear.[7]

The trading cards are stated to be canon, and will only feature recognized characters in-universe.[9]
