Five Nights At Freddy's Wiki

" This ends, for all of us. End communication. "

- Henry's last words before sacrificing himself.

Henry Emily, or Cassette Man is the overarching protagonist and an instructor in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator. He is the head of the Pizzeria and passes his instructions through tape recordings.

It is revealed that he is the old partner of William Afton who owned Fredbear's Family Diner, and helped to create the original animatronics.

Five Nights at Freddy's

He is mentioned in one the newspaper clipping, telling the backstory of the "Missing Children Incident". Just like the novel, William was suspected to be the murderer of the five children but was never convicted due to the bodies of The Missing Children were never found.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2

He is mentioned by Phone Guy, as having been missing for years, and the company tries to track him down.

FNAF World

In FNAF World, the character Desk Man mysteriously appears various times. While unconfirmed, it is theorized that Desk Man is Henry Emily.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator

In the Insanity Ending, audio of Henry prior to the events of FFPS plays. In this, he makes it clear that he helped to create the original animatronics alongside William Afton, but Afton used them for nefarious purposes. He also stated that his daughter was the first murder and that he has considered suicide out of regret for everything that he unknowingly helped Afton to do. But he is determined to end Afton's Legacy.

In the Completion Ending, Cassette Man explains how the work to which the player has applied has the last motive of attracting the final animatronics, catching them, and destroying them. He reveals the name of Afton's daughter, Elizabeth, who was taken by Baby. He talks to Michael, talking about how there was a way out for him, but he knows that he would rather die with the rest of them. He tells the animatronics to release the souls within them and tells Afton that he is going to Hell for all that he has done, telling him not to keep the devil waiting. Henry speaks to his daughter in The Puppet one last time, apologizing for not saving her on the day of her death and asking her to rest. While he monologues, he sets fire to the building, destroying the animatronics, Michael and himself.

The event of the novel plays out, similar to the games timelines up until the event after Five Nights at Freddy's 4, instead of him being determined to end Afton's Legacy. In the novel trilogy, he created four animatronic dolls, each replicating his daughter's state of growth: toddler, child, teenager, and a full-grown adult. In addition, he used the illusion discs to have the appearance of Charlie. When he reached Charlotte's third stage of recreation, he realized that he's gone mad and on her fourth one, was made full of rage and despair that he stopped building it and realized that the dolls weren't actually Charlie. He committed suicide due to the permanent damage that he done himself.

Salvaging part 1

Congratulations on completing your first day, however your job isn't over just yet. There's another aspect of your end of day routine, and that is inspecting and salvaging any animatronics found in the Alley outside the backdoor. Things are found here quite often and while we aren't sure why, what we do know is that they can be used for parts. Which can mean a much needed revenue boost before starting your next day. Of course, as with everything else in this line of work, those benefits come with risks. The safest thing to do is to throw it back outside, but then you get no money for the salvage. Choose to keep it and you run the risk of certain negative consequences, namely death, should the item in question not be as docile as it first appeared. If you do decide to try to salvage it, then you must complete the maintenance checklist. During this testing phase check on the animatronic frequently, if you feel that it is coming unstable, use the taser provided to you. You can use it three times without damaging the hardware. Every use over three, however, will decrease the item's salvage value.

Salvaging Part 2

You have chosen to proceed with the maintenance checklist.

Remember, use your company-issued taser to return the animatronic to a neutral state if you feel that it's becoming unstable or aggressive. You can only use it three times before it begins to damage the animatronic and decrease its value. Begin audio prompt in 3, 2, 1.

Completion Ending

Connection terminated.

I'm sorry to interrupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name. But I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You are not here to receive a gift, nor have you been called here by the individual you assume. Although you have indeed been called. You have all been called here. Into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune.

A labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped. Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber, always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. But you will never find them, none of you will. This is where your story ends. And to you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing not intended for you.

Although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that's not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well, I am nearby. This place will not be remembered, and the memory of everything that started this can finally begin to fade away. As the agony of every tragedy should. And to you monsters trapped in the corridors: Be still and give up your spirits, they don't belong to you. For most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps more waiting for you after the smoke clears. Although, for one of you, the darkest pit of Hell has opened to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting, old friend.

My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well. It's in your nature to protect the innocent. I'm sorry that on that day, the day you were shut out and left to die, no one was there to lift you up into their arms the way you lifted others into yours. And then, what became of you.

I should have known you wouldn't be content to disappear, not my daughter. I couldn't save you then, so let me save you now. It's time to rest. For you, and for those you have carried in your arms. This ends for all of us.

End communication.

Insanity Ending

I-It's only now that I understand the depth of the depravity of this...creature - this monster that I unwillingly helped to create.

As if what he had already done wasn't enough, he found a new way to desecrate, to humiliate, to destroy. As if the suffering wasn't enough, the loss of innocence, the loss of everything to so many people. Small souls trapped in prisons of my making now set to new purpose and used in ways I never thought imaginable. He lured them all back. Back to a familiar place. Back with familiar tricks. He brought them all together. Are they still...aware? I hope not. It keeps me awake at night. I could make myself...sleep. But not yet. Not until I undo what he has done and heal this wound - a wound first inflicted on me, but then one that I let bleed out to cause all of this. He set some kind of trap. I don't know what it was, but he lead them there again.

He overpowered them again. And he robbed them of the only thing that they had. Again. I don't know how those tiny breaths of life came to inhabit those machines. But they will never find rest now. Not like this. I have to call them all back. All of them. Together in one place.
