Devon is the main character of The New Kid.
Appearance[]
Devon is 5'9" with long and messy dark hair. He is skinny and has very crooked teeth, big ears that stick out of his hair, a long neck, and dark eyes that are small and close together. His cuticles are chewed on and his nails have been bitten down.
Personality[]
Devon is extremely lonely and doesn't feel loved by anyone, though he is convinced that Heather likes him. He's very jealousy, particularly of Kelsey, who is able to make friends much easier than he can. Devon can be considered strange or even psychopathic at times, as he is unable to pick up on social cues, writes gruesome stories, and even kills a bird. He is also shown to rely heavily on validation from others and is quite attention-seeking, which is likely a byproduct of his loneliness. Still, Devon ultimately cares for his best friend Mick and seems to regret his role in Kelsey's death. Devon also appears to be sadistic as he is mesmerized by Kelsey's springlock death.
History[]
Devon was abandoned by his father at the age of 3. He was lonely for a long time, and this formed jealousy of Kelsey for his ability to make friends easily. One night, Devon goes into the forest near their school searching for a new cool hangout place and discovers an abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
The next day, Devon takes Mick and Kelsey to Freddy's to explore the place. They look around and find a closet full of costumes, then they find an old Golden Freddy suit. When Devon first found the suit, he planned to harmlessly scare Kelsey by locking him in there for a few hours. However, it doesn't go as planned. The springlocks activate and kill Kelsey.
A week later, Devon decides to return to the pizzeria to try and find Kelsey. He's worried about the possibility that Kelsey is still alive. He makes Mick promise not to tell anyone what he's doing. Devon goes back and sees the bloodied suit in the same place and checks if Kelsey is alive. He looks inside the suit but finds that Kelsey has mysteriously vanished. He reaches his hand down into the suit’s mouth to feel around, only for the springlocks to fail once again and crush his arm. Now bleeding out, he gets a good look into the suit. He doesn't see Kelsey's blonde hair, but sees a body with black curly hair. That is the last thing Devon sees, before his body is sucked into the suit.
