Abby Schmidt is the younger sister of Mike Schmidt, and the deuteragonist of the first Five Nights at Freddy's movie.
Appearance[]
Abby is a young girl with brown hair in a bob cut that reaches just above her shoulders. She has brown eyes that spark a similar color as her hair and an oval face.
In the teaser trailer, Abby is shown wearing a pink sweatshirt with a cloud pattern, her bottom clothing in this outfit are currently unknown.
In the teaser image, Abby wears a white patterned cardigan, red overalls, and a violet shirt. She also wears the same clothes at the end of the teaser trailer.
Personality[]
Abby is a bright, curious little girl who enjoys drawing. She's quick to make friends with just about anyone, but doesn't seem to have many friends herself. She loves her older brother, even when she is angry with him, and doesn't want to be taken away from him. On top of that, she's quite intelligent for her age, quick and nimble when she needs to be, and she's very caring of the people around her.

“Mike's younger sister, Abby, is inquisitive and brave, with a creative mind and keen intuition. A bit of a loner who keeps her thoughts and feelings close to her chest, she expresses herself primarily through drawings. Growing up without her parents, while being raised by her unreliable brother, Abby has learned to fend for herself. That said, she is still very much a child, emotionally vulnerable, full of imagination, and not without the normal outbursts of a 10-year old”

Abby was born the 3th and last child of the Schmidt Family 1990. Some time after her father disappears and her mother died, leaving Mike to take care of her.

- Some fans believe Abby to be the movie's version of Elizabeth Afton.
- This is due to her role as Mike's youngester sister, as well as Abby being both an uncommon nickname of the name Elizabeth, and an anagram of Baby.
- Abby is nearly killed in the Ella springlock animatronic by being placed into her stomach, in the games, Elizabeth is killed by Baby when a giant claw comes out of Baby's stomach, capturing and killing Elizabeth.
- However, Abby doesn't really resemble Elizabeth in terms of appearance, and her connection to Elizabeth seems very loose, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Abby is not supposed to be a representation of Elizabeth.
- It's implied Abby was friends with at least one of the ghost children before she went to Freddy's, being the 'imaginary' friend she has.
- The missing children are seen in several drawings in her room.
- Her brief interaction with Ghost Kid (blonde boy) on-screen also shows little reaction to his presence, aside from smiling when he approaches.
- However, this could simply be her being used to the other missing children and having interacted with them off-screen before.
- Abby herself may be a medium, which basically explains how she can actually see the spirits of The Missing Children
